This special day explores all areas of your actors tool box, leaving you with even more tools to add at the end of day.
PART 1 - THE ACTORS CLASS

Vocal, physical and mindful warm up...
Start the day reconnecting your body, mind and voice with a thorough warm up led by Nancy Sullivan.
Open up physically, mentally and vocally with new exercises to let go of tension and start the day from a free, relaxed place. Wear loose clothing.
Improvisation Blast!
Either the dreaded or beloved improvisation! Whatever your thoughts on it, it's good to practice, it keeps you brave, listening, on your toes and combating nerves the whole time.
Scenarios will be given out to create some memorable scenes!
Scenes
Based on spotlight links sent in advance, scenes will be given out on the day.
Scene study and performance of contemporary scenes.
Industry Mindset
This industry can sometimes feel lonely place with so many highs and lows, we will end the session with insightful action moving forward and in action and in mindset, this will be the time to ask any questions that you feel you need some advice and guidance on.

Warm up & your introduction!
Time for Nancy & David to get an idea of where you're at before we begin the session.
The Masterclass
This is your opportunity to bring a piece of your choice to perform. This could be a song for an audition coming up, something you've been working on for fun or something that's a challenge you want to stretch yourself with in front of an audience.
Here David and Nancy will advise on Acting through song, direction of your piece, suitability of piece, possibly rep if needed and the all important AUDITION TECH & GUIDANCE!
Please aim for pieces around 3.5 minutes for your chosen piece.
Please bring sheet music there will be a pianist.

Q&A with Nancy & David included at the end of the session, they have both worked extensively and to the highest levels in their fields, David from West End to Broadway and Nancy from West End to ITV leading role in hit a comedy.
Their varied expertise make them the perfect combination to learn from and work with.
This class will be led by Olivier Award winner DAVID THAXTON (Sunset Blvd, Broadway & West End) and award winning actor & director NANCY SULLIVAN (Changing Ends ITV, lead series reg).
Nancy and David have been working in the industry for over 35 years between them, from West End theatre to series regulars in TV and are both still acting.
They coach at some of the top training institutes in London such as ArtsEd, Urdang, LSMT and others.
